Copenhagen has three cruise terminals: Langelinie, Nordre Toldbod, and Ocean Quay. Please click here to find out which cruise terminal your guests will arrive at.

Getting to and from Ocean Quay

  • Bus 25 and Metro: Take bus 25* from the bus stop Ocean Quay (located in terminal 1) and get off at Orientkaj metro station. Take the M4 line towards Copenhagen Central Station (København H). Change at Kongens Nytorv to the M2 line towards Copenhagen Airport (Københavns Lufthavn). The duration of the trip is approximately 40 minutes. Your guests will need a valid 3-zone ticket, which costs 30 DKK.
  • Bus 164 and Metro: Take bus 164 (runs all year round) towards Ballerup St. Get off at Orientkaj metro station and take M4 towards Copenhagen Central Station (København H). Change at Kongens Nytorv to the M2 line towards Copenhagen Airport (Københavns Lufthavn). The duration of the trip is approximately 40 minutes. Your guests will need a valid 3-zone ticket, it costs 30 DKK.
  • Taxi: The trip will cost approximately 425 DKK during the day (weekdays) and around 520 DKK during the evening (weekdays), weekends and bank holidays. The duration of the trip is about 40 minutes. 

* When cruise ships call at Ocean Quay, the bus departs every 10 to 20 minutes from when the first cruise ships arrive until 1 hour before the last ship in port departs.

  • Bus 25 and Metro: Take bus 25* from the bus stop Ocean Quay (located in terminal 1), get off at Orientkaj metro station and take M4 directly to Copenhagen Central Station (København H). The duration of the trip is approximately 30 minutes. Your guests will need a valid 2-zone ticket. The price is 24 DKK.
  • Bus 164 and Metro: Take bus 164 (runs all year round) towards Ballerup St. Get off at Orientkaj metro station and take M4 directly to Copenhagen Central Station (København H). The duration of the trip is approximately 30 minutes. Your guests will need a valid 2-zone ticket. The price is 24 DKK.
  • Taxi: The trip will cost approximately 212 DKK during the day (weekdays) and about 262 DKK during the evening (weekdays), weekends and bank holidays duration of the journey is about 30 minutes.

Once your guests have arrived at Orientkaj Station, they have easy access and endless opportunities to get around Copenhagen’s neighbourhoods and city center by metro.

Your guests can go directly to the city center with the metro line M4. Here, they can easily change to metro line M3, also known as “The City Circle Line” (Cityringen). The M3 connects Copenhagen’s neighbourhoods: Vesterbro, Frederiksberg, Nørrebro, Østerbro and the city centre.

Orientkaj Station:

  • Bus 25: Take bus 25* from the bus stop Oceankaj and get off at Orientkaj metro station. The duration of the trip is approximately 15 minutes. Your guests will need a valid 2-zone ticket. The price is 24 DKK.
  • Bus 164: Take bus 164 (runs all year round) towards Ballerup St. Get off at Orientkaj metro station. The duration of the trip is approximately 15 minutes. Your guests will need a valid 2-zone ticket. The price is 24 DKK.

It is important that your guests have a valid ticket when using public transportation. They are responsible for having the correct ticket. Otherwise, they will receive an induvial fine if they meet ongoing ticket control.

Your guests can access the metros, trains, and buses (including water buses) with the same ticket. They need to find out how many zones they will pass on their journey. Your guests can plan their journey here and find out how many zones their journey requires.

  • Tickets can be purchased from a ticket machine at Ocean Quay (right by the tourist information).
  • Your guests can purchase single tickets or a City Pass by downloading the DOT Tickets app. The app is available for iPhone and Android. See the difference between ticket types here.

Getting to and from Langelinie

  • Bus 27 and train: Walk 5 minutes to the bus stop, Indiakaj, and take bus 27 to Østerport Station. Change to a regional train (RE) towards CPH Airport (CPH Lufthavn). The duration of the trip is approximately 35 minutes. Your guests will need a valid 3-zone ticket. The price is 30 DKK.
  • Walk and metro: Walk 15 minutes to Østerport Station and take the metro line M3 or M4 to Kongens Nytorv. Change at Kongens Nytorv and take the metro line M2 towards Copenhagen Airport (Københavns Lufthavn). The duration of the trip is approximately 35 minutes. Your guests will need a valid 3-zone ticket. The price is 30 DKK.
  • Taxi: The trip will cost approximately 270 DKK during the day (weekdays) and around 333 DKK during the evening (weekdays), weekends and bank holidays. The duration of the trip is about 30 minutes.  
  • Bus 27 and train: Walk 5 minutes to the bus stop, Indiakaj, and take bus 27 to Østerport Station. Then take the S-train in the direction Køge, Høje Taastrup, Frederikssund or Ballerup (lines A, B, C, E or H) and get off at Copenhagen Central Station (København H). The duration of the trip is approximately 20 minutes. Your guests will need a valid 2-zone ticket. The price is 24 DKK.
  • Walk and metro: Walk 15 minutes to Østerport Station. Then take the metro line M3 or M4 towards Kongens Nytorv and get off at Copenhagen Central Station (København H). The duration of the trip is approximately 20 minutes. Your guests will need a valid 2-zone ticket. The price is 24 DKK.
  • Taxi: The trip will cost approximately 135 DKK during the day (weekdays) and around 167 DKK during the evening (weekdays), weekends, and bank holidays duration of the trip is about 15 minutes.  

When your guests are at Langelinie, they are already close to the city centre and only a few minutes walk from the little mermaid. If your guests want to avoid walking, they can quickly get around by public transportation. Please take a look at the options below.

Take a Hop On Hop Off bus:
Your guests can take a Hop on Hop off bus that stops at Langelinie. The Hop on Hop off bus stops at, among others, Nyhavn, Amalienborg Palace, Tivoli, etc. The price is 199 DKK and is valid for 72 hours. Read more about the Hop on Hop off bus here.  

Take a metro or train from Østerport Station:
Once your guests have reached Østerport Station, they have endless opportunities to get quickly around Copenhagen’s neighbourhoods and city centre by metro and train.

Your guests can go directly to the city centre with the metro line M3 or M4. The M3 is known as “The City Circle Line” (Cityringen) and connects Copenhagen’s neighbourhoods: VesterbroFrederiksbergNørrebroØsterbro, and the city centre. The M4 can take your guests from Copenhagen Central Station to Orientkaj Station.

Or your guests can take a train directly to Copenhagen’s train stations; Nordhavn, Nørreport, Vesterport, Copenhagen Central Station (København H), and Dybbelsbro. They simply need to take an S-train with one of the following lines: A, B, C, E, or H.

How to get to Østerport Station:

  • Bus 27: Walk 5 minutes to the bus stop, Indiakaj, and take bus 27 to Østerport Station. The duration of the trip is approximately 10 minutes. Your guests will need a valid 2-zone ticket. The price is 24 DKK.
  • Walk: Walk 15 minutes to Østerport Station and save money.

Getting to and from Nordre Toldbod

  • Walk and metro: Walk 14 minutes to Marmorkirken metro station and take the metro line M3 or M4 to Kongens Nytorv. Change at Kongens Nytorv and take the metro line M2 to Copenhagen Airport (Københavns Lufthavn). The duration of the trip is approximately 35 minutes. Your guests will need a valid 3-zone ticket. The price is 30 DKK.
  • Taxi: The trip will cost approximately 232 DKK during the day (weekdays) and around 286 DKK during the evening (weekdays), weekends and bank holidays. The duration of the trip is about 30 minutes.  
  • Walk and metro: Walk 14 minutes to Marmorkirken metro station and take the metro line M3 or M4 towards Kongens Nytorv directly to Copenhagen Central Station (København H). The duration of the trip is approximately 25 minutes. Your guests will need a valid 2-zone ticket. The price is 24 DKK.
  • Taxi: The trip will cost approximately 116 DKK during the day (weekdays) and around 143 DKK during the evening (weekdays), weekends, and bank holidays duration of the journey is about 20 minutes.  

Your guests are close to the city center at Nordre Toldbod, but if they do not want to walk, they have different options to explore the city centre and Copenhagen’s neighbourhoods.

Take a Hop On Hop Off Bus:

Car parking facilities near the cruise terminals

Ocean Quay
Your guests can use the public car park located by the cruise terminals. It is called “P-plads Oceanvej” and has 242 parking spaces. Please note it is not possible to reserve a parking space beforehand. Your guests must pay either by credit card at the payment station or by parking apps: EasyPark, Apcoa Flow, ParkOne and ParkMan.

Rates for parking:

  • 07:00 – 17:00: DKK 22.00/hr.*
  • 17:00 – 07:00: DKK 12.00/hr.*
  • The daily rate is a maximum of DKK 150.00* per 24 hours.

* Please note that there might be an additional fee depending on the payment method.

Langelinie and Nordre Toldbod
Unfortunately, there is only short-term parking near the cruise terminals. The nearest in-house car parking facility for your guests is located at Dronningens Tværgade 4, 1302 København or Dampfærgevej 33, 2100 København. Here the maximum price per day is DKK 500.00 and DKK 335.00.
