ESPGHAN 2022

The European Society for Paediatric Gastroenterology Hepatology and Nutrition (ESPGHAN) organised the 54th annual meeting held in Copenhagen from 22-25 June 2022. More than 4,000 delegates from around 100 countries attended the congress that had special attention to the pediatric treatment of gastrointestinal tract, liver, and nutritional diseases, as well as the accessibility and transparency of information for the patients and families.

The legacy process resulted in three activities focusing on closing the research and talent gap within the field of pediatric treatment of gastrointestinal tract, liver, and nutritional diseases.

EULAR 2022

The European Alliance of Associations for Rheumatology (EULAR) organised the EULAR 2022 congress held in Copenhagen from 1-4 June 2022. With the congress’ focus on rheumatic diseases, more than 14,000 delegates from over 130 countries participated in the congress in-person and online.

The legacy process resulted in a European campaign showcasing the Danish treatment strategy, with a best practice example focusing on the value of a multidisciplinary approach for successful treatment.

ESTRO 2022

The European Society for Radiotherapy and Oncology (ESTRO) organised the ESTRO 2022 congress held in Copenhagen from 6-10 May 2022. With the theme ‘Learning from every patient’, more than 5,600 delegates attended the congress, and it was a unique opportunity for radiotherapy and oncology experts to exchange new ideas on medical treatment with their peers.

Copenhagen Legacy Lab supported ESTRO’s legacy process with focus on improving the dialogue with patients, their relatives, and everyone affected or working with treatment within the field.

UIA 2023 CPH

The International Union of Architects (UIA) organised the UIA World Congress of Architects 2023 held in Copenhagen from 2-6 July 2023. The congress had more than 6,000 participants from 135 countries, and with the congress’ theme “Sustainable Futures - Leave No One Behind”, it called for decisive action and measurable impact aligned to the UN 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The legacy process focused on the anchoring of “The Copenhagen Lessons,” which was part of the congress’ extensive outreach programme.

Global DIY-Summit 2022

The 8th Global DIY-Summit in Copenhagen from 2-6 July 2022 was jointly hosted by the leading DIY professional organisations: the European DIY-Retail Association (EDRA), the Home Improvement Manufacturers Association (HIMA), and the Global Home Improvement Network (GHIN). With the ambition to increase awareness about responsible business models among their audience, the Summit gathered more than 900 delegates from 55 countries.

The legacy process resulted in the ‘DIY LEGACY PROJECT’, focusing on creating a more responsible and sustainable industry.

Nordic Blockchain Conference 2023

The Nordic Blockchain Association (NBA) hosted the Nordic Blockchain Conference held in Copenhagen in 2023. 450 delegates attended the conference that wanted to explore the limitless potential of the web3 space.

The legacy process focused on identifying the ecosystems’ most urgent challenges to prioritise future actions.

ISPIM Innovation Conference 2022

The International Society for Professional Innovation Management (ISPIM) organised the 2022 ISPIM Innovation Conference held in Copenhagen from 5-8 June 2022. The Conference had 500 participants in-person and online, and one of the key themes was sustainable digital innovation.

The legacy process resulted in a workshop focusing on the need for a specification or standard for sustainable digital impact.
