Copenhagen leads the way with 30 stars awarded to 18 restaurants - Restaurant Udtryk earns a star 41 days after opening, setting a new record.
Copenhagen once again led the way at the 2025 Michelin Guide Nordic Countries revelation, which took place on June 16th in Anneberg Kulturpark and the UNESCO Global Geopark Odsherred in Denmark. Copenhagen was awarded 30 Michelin stars across 18 restaurants, maintaining its position as the leading Michelin city in the Nordics. Stockholm came in second with 18 stars, followed by Oslo in third with 14 stars. Helsinki and Reykjavík took fourth and fifth place respectively, each earning a total of 9 stars.
All previously awarded restaurants retained their Michelin stars, and nine new establishments have now joined the prestigious ranks. Among them is Copenhagen’s restaurant Udtryk, led by Hong Kong-born chef Edward Lee, which earned a star just 41 days after opening, making it the fastest restaurant ever to receive the honour.

Among the other new restaurants in the Copenhagen area is Nordhavn-based Sushi Anaba, led by chef Mads Battefeld, who trained in Japan to master the noble art of sushi. The restaurant has quickly made its mark has quickly made its mark on Copenhagen’s culinary scene, earning its first Michelin star just four months after opening in mid-February 2025.
Restaurant Parsley Salon, located just north of Copenhagen in the coastal town of Hellerup, is run by Allan Schultz, known for the 1990s hotspot KONRAD and the iconic Café Victor.
Finally, included in the newest additions is Restaurant Texture. Textureis led by Karim Khouani, a Marseille-born chef with Italian roots and over 28 years of Michelin-level experience. After earning Malmö’s first Michelin star with Ambiance and repeating the feat at Restaurant Sture, he has now secured yet another star for Texture.

The Michelin Guide also recognizes restaurants with a strong commitment to sustainability across the Nordic region. In Copenhagen, those that received the Green Star in previous editions have retained the distinction this year.
Finally, six new Bib Gourmand restaurants have been added to Copenhagen’s culinary map: Calma, Restaurant Koefoed, VIE, Démodé, Radio and Rebel , all recognised for serving high-quality food at reasonable prices.
