Chinese people care a lot about food and it is one of the most important aspects of Chinese culture.

There is an old saying in Chinese that goes: "hunger breeds discontent." 

The Chinese generally prefer warm breakfasts, and since a large percentage of Chinese are lactose intolerant, classic Western breakfasts like cornflakes with cold milk or muesli and yogurt will not hit the spot with your Chinese guests.
