Copenhagen in top-10 of the World’s Most Reputable Cities
Tuesday, January 10, 2017
In the Reputation Institute’s City RepTrak®, which identified the most reputable cities based on perceptions of economy, environment and government, Copenhagen has again found itself among the top-10.
The survey showed that being a beautiful and safe city that has well-respected leaders drives a city’s reputation.
Copenhagen improved their RepTrak® Pulse score from 75,4 in 2015 to 78,5 in 2016 which places the city in the strong/robust normative scale. Even though Copenhagen improved their reputation, the city has moved from a 9th place in 2015 to a 10th place in 2016, merely because other cities likewise have improved their RepTrak® Pulse score.
Country and city reputations are linked together
The Reputation Institute also identified most reputable countries and found there is an undeniable link between the reputation of a city and the country it resides in. The same goes for Copenhagen and Denmark, where Denmark was ranked 8th in the 2016 country RepTrak®.
Being welcoming, safe and beautiful are the top three drivers of a country's reputation, and nations with a strong reputation are better positioned to welcome more tourists, increase exports, improve diplomacy and attract foreign investment, knowledge and talent according to the Reputation Institute.
